The Black Spectrum Theater's annual production of live Jazz and R&B at Archie Spigner Park in Jamaica, Queens was complemented by a display of science exhibitions put on by the St. Albans Under the Stars (SUTS) organization. Along with members of the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA), SUTS engaged with an interested crowd of young and old alike as they explained concepts like elements, string theory, and celestial bodies. SUTS gave out many educational materials to continue to inspire young minds to engage with science for years to come.
Over the years, the annual production has attracted the attention of local politicians such as New York State Senator Leroy Comrie of District 14. Mayor Eric Adams appeared to bless the overall production.
SUTS expects to put on their exhibitions again in the following year and to perhaps expand into doing more frequent events.
