I discovered telescopes in pre-school - when my teacher had asked the class to draw one. As a recently arrived immigrant child from Punjab, India, I was still learning the English language and had no idea what a telescope was! I found it to be fascinating that with this device I could look through a glass lens and suddenly the night sky is within reach. I enjoy stargazing greatly and my interest in Astronomy and Astrobiology increased as I furthered my education. I completed my undergraduate degree at New York University in 2018, where I minored in Astronomy, Mathematics-Computer Science, majored in Economics, and completed some engineering courses. Projects I have completed include a presentation on Peruvian Astronomy (NYU), teaching String Theory using a guitar (SUTS), and teaching Astrobiology (SUTS). Today, I am a proud owner of a beautiful Celestron telescope and an even prouder team member of St. Alban’s Under the Stars.
